Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay

Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay (September 15, 1876 - January 16, 1938) was a well-known Bengali novelist.
He was born in Devanandpur in Hooghly district. He was one of the nine children of his parents. In eighteen years of age, he passed the intent. These days he wrote a novel named "Basa" (house), but this composition was not published. Rabindranath Tagore and Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay had a profound influence on him. Sharat Chandra was a student of fine arts, but due to financial constraints, he could not study this subject. In search of employment, Sarat Chandra went to Burma and worked as a clerk in Public Works Department.

After some time in Burma, he started writing seriously, after returning to Calcutta. After returning from Burma, he started writing his famous novel Srikanth. In Burma, he was contacted by a person named Bangchandra, who was then drunk and lewd on the big scholar. From here, there was a seed of characterless, in which the mess is the story of love with the maid's made with a description of life.

When he came to Calcutta once from Burma, some of his compositions left for a friend in Calcutta. Unfairing Sharat, the serial publication of one of them "Big Didi" started in 1907. When two installments came out, sensation spread among the people and they started saying that perhaps Rabindranath is changing the name. Sarat received the news five years later. Anything happened to be fame, yet there was a lot of trouble in publishing the "characterless". India's editor-in-chief, Dwijendr Lal Rai, refused to print it says that it is against virtue. His authentic life introduction is very famous by Vishnu Prabhakar by creating the Awara Masih title

Major works:
Sharat Chandra wrote many novels, including Pandit Mossay, Bakundher Bill, Table Didi, Darchchumar, Srikant, Arakshanyya, Nirukta, Mamalar Fruits, Homes, The rest of the questions, Datta, Devdas, Balmah's girl, Vipradas, Dana Pasana etc. are prominent. Written on the revolutionary movement of Bengal, the novel "Pathera David" was written. First it was serialized in "Bang Vani", then the book was printed and the three thousand version ended in three months. After this, the British government seized it.

Sarat's novels have been translated into many Indian languages. It is said that their heroines are more powerful than their male characters. Sharatchandra's popularity is not due to his artistic compositions and incomplete events or life-threatening events, but in his novels, the way women are wobbling out of traditional bondage, as men and women, to establish relations on a new basis The party has been presented, Sharat has got popularity from that. Their composition touches the heart very much. But in the chaos, although there are all the elements of the heart, there is less light on the struggles, exploitation etc. of society. Something like the picture of society in Parli society. In Mahesh, some stories the question of exploitation arises.

Hindi films based on some of their novels have also been created many times. Based on his novel Charanjit, the movie was made in 1974 with the same name. After that Devdas has been created three times in the making of Devdas. Played by first Devdas Kundan Lal Sehgal, secondly Devdas Dilip Kumar, starring Vaijayanti Mala and the third Devdas starring Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Aishwarya Rai.
