South Tripura District is a district of the Indian state of Tripura. The headquarters of the district is Udaipur (Tripura). Historically, this place is also very important. Tripura Sundari Temple:
Tripura Sundari temple is situated on the Agartala-Sabroom road, three kilometers from Udaipur city. This temple was constructed during the reign of Maharaja Blessed Manikya during 1501 AD. Bhuvaneshwari Temple:
The Bhuvaneshwari Temple is located on the northern coast of Gumti. This temple was constructed during the reign of Maharaja Govind Manikya from 1667 to 1676 AD. This temple is also very important from the historical point of view. It is believed that Rabindranath Tagore had composed the famous novel Rajarshi and the drama Bisarajan at the same place.

Shiva Bari:
Shiva Bari Temple is located in Udaipur city. According to Pithamala, this is the residence of Tripura Bhairav. Apart from this there is also a Shivalinga inside the temple. This temple was built by Maharaja Blessed Manikya. The entrance to the temple is towards the west direction. In 1651 AD, the temple was rebuilt by Maharaja Kalyan Manikya. And in the present time, they were repaired by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya.

Deityamur:
Devtamur is located approximately 35 kilometers from Udaipur. Devatamur means God is mountain This place is especially famous for the paintings of Lord Shiva, Goddess Durga and other gods and goddesses present here. This picture is quite beautiful. This place is completely surrounded by forests.

Pilgrimage:
The pilgrim center is situated about 62 kilometers from the district headquarters. This place is especially famous for its natural beauty. The famous Dumbrur Haidal project is located right here. Which is the main source of strength of the South Tripura district. In addition, the Dumbur Kund located in the pilgrim center is also famous. Various species of birds of the world can be seen here.
