Introduction:
Sant Kabir Nagar district is one of the 75 districts of northern Uttar Pradesh state. Khalilabad city is a part of the district headquarter, Sant Kabir Nagar District Basti Mandal. This district is surrounded by Siddhartha Nagar and Maharajganj districts in the north by Gorakhpur District in the Ambedkar Nagar district in the south and the Basti district in the west. The area of this district is 1659.15 square kilometers. Bakkira, Hansar, Maghar, and Dhanghata etc. are among the major destinations. Ghaghra, Kuano and Rapti are the major rivers here.

The origin of the name:
The district is named after the 15th century mystic poet Kabir, who lived in the district of Magahar in the district. Whose death story is popular which is taught in schools in India.

History:
Sant Kabir Nagar District was built on September 5, 1997, in 131 villages of Tahsil of the then Basti district of Basti district and 161 villages of then Bansi tehsil of Siddharth Nagar district. Before September 5, 1997, the settlement was a tehsil of the district.

the division:
This district has three Tehsil Khalilabad, Mehdaval, and Dhanghata. This district has three legislative assembly constituencies Khalilabad, Mehdaval, and Dhanghata. All these saints are a part of Kabir Nagar Lok Sabha constituency.

Hansar: - 
In the time of the first freedom struggle, Hansar, Suryavanshi was related to the Lal Jagar Bahadur. The Red world Bahadur has played an important role in the freedom struggle. Every Tuesday and Friday, there is a weekly market here. The area's area is only 91.4 hectares.

The temple of Time Mata is located in Kochari village, situated 2 kilometers away from Heseshwaranath Heather.

Ramlila Maidan: - Ramlila Maidan, located in Sonali Hassar, is a big fair every year in Dusshera. This ground is maintained by Avadhesh Prasad.

On the day of Basant Panchami, huge wrestling riots are organized in Sonadi.

A woman bath house has been constructed on the temple here by the current head Sonadi Shivprasad Mudheshia. Which reflects their global thinking. For the construction of this bathing house, the people of Sonadi and Hansar have special cooperation.

Mahadev Temple: -
Mahadev Temple is located in Tama village, 8 kilometers from Khalilabad. This temple is dedicated to Lord Tameshwar Nath. According to folklore, the statue located in the temple was received from the forest situated near Tama. This statue was established in the temple by King Bansi. A large fair is organized here on the occasion of Shivratri every year. A large number of devotees are involved in this fair.

Magar: -
The city is located approximately seven kilometers south-west of the district headquarters. This is the place where the saint-poet Kabir died. At this place a shrine of a saint-poet Kabir and a mosque is located. In this mosque both Hindus and Muslims come here with complete reverence. In 1567 Nawab Friday Khan had rebuilt this mosque.

Bakerya: -
This place is located approximately 18 kilometers from Gorakhpur district. Especially this place is known for the huge Moti Lake. It is believed that the lake was named by Nawab Sadat Ali Khan. Sadat Ali used to come sometimes to hunt at this place. The market in Bakheira is also famous. In this market, demand for brass and bronze related work remains the highest. Due to this, wholesalers from Mirzapur, Varanasi and Moradabad etc come here to shop for this place.

Khalilabad: -
Khalilabad is the headquarters of Sant Kabir Nagar district. This place was founded by Kaji Khalil-ur-Rehman. The name of this place was named Khalilabad in his name. At present, this place is especially famous for handmade clothing market. This market is known as Bardhihiya Market.

Hansar: -

Dharamsimahwa Bazar: -
Dharamsinhah Bazar is a very old town of Sant Kabbir town. Located in Mehdawal tehsil, the total population of this town is about 8000. The archaeological remains present here are still longing for their existence. It is said that when Gautam Buddha was going for the discovery of the truth, he had rested here and stayed here. There is also a bowl. This town is situated on the northern boundary of the district, 50 km away from the district headquarter. After the distance of two km from this town, the boundary of the district Siddhartha city begins. Sansar Jan Seva Kendra is present in Dharsinghwa, Thana, Bank, Inter College, Homeopathic Hospital, and Vimalesh Tripathi.


Amardoba: -
