Harish Rawat (born 27 April 1948) is an Indian politician who became Chief Minister of Uttarakhand in February 2014. Rawat, who has been a five-time Indian MP, is the leader of the Indian National Congress. In the 15th Lok Sabha, the Minister of Water Resources has been the Union Minister under the leadership of then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He has served as Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (2011-2012) and Ministry of Labor and Employment (2009-11).
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (5 September 1888 - 17 April 1975) was the first Vice-President of India (1952-1962) and the second President. He was the conductor of Indian culture, an eminent educationist, a great philosopher and a devout Hindu thinker. Due to these same qualities, in 1954, the Indian government decorated him with the highest honor Bharat Ratna. His birthday (September 5) is celebrated in India as Teacher's Day.
