Ballia (Bhojpuri: Ballia or Blinya) a municipality is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is also the headquarters of the district of the same name. The city's eastern boundary is created by the confluence of the Ganges and the river Sarayu. The city is located 135 km from Varanasi.
