V. V. Giri

Varahagiri Venkat Giri or We We Giri (10 August 1894 - 23 June 1980) was the fourth President of India. He was born in Berhmapur, Odisha.

Education:
One was born in Telugu, the language of the family, the devotee Brahmin stayed at Bahamampur in the Ganjam district of the then Madras Presidency. Cities and districts are now part of the state of Orissa. In 1913, he went to the University College Dublin to study the law but went away from Ireland in 1916 after being associated with one type of Irish party movement. This partnership had brought him in close contact with Eamon de Valera, Michael Collins, Patrick Pearse, Desmond Fitzgerald, Eoin Mecknell, James Connolly and others.

On returning to India, he joined the massive labor movement, becoming a general secretary and then the president of All India Railwaymen, and twice the President of All joined the Indian Trade Union Congress as a service. Giri became a member of the Imperial Legislative Assembly in 1934.

In Madras in the general election of 1936, Giri was placed as a Congress candidate in Bobbili against King Bobbili and he said that the election won. He became the minister of labor and industry in 1937 to establish the Congress Party government C. Rajagopalachari in the Madras Presidency. When Congress governments resigned in 1942, they returned as part of the labor movement and India was imprisoned by the British leaving the movement.

After that India attained independence, she first participated in Ceylon and then successfully for the Parliament in 1952, resigned in 1954 as the Minister of Labor until the service was appointed High Commissioner.

In 1957, the Indian Society of Labor Economics (Isle) was established by a specialized group of academics and public men engaged in promoting the study of labor and industrial relations. This team was led by Mr. Giri.

He successfully served as the governor of Uttar Pradesh (1957-1960), Kerala (1960-1965) and Mysore (1965-1967).

He was elected Vice President of India in 1967. On the death in Zakir Hussain's office in 1969, he decided to run for India in the upcoming presidential election and for that post in the upcoming election. Under the leadership of Indira Gandhi of Congress Party, she has chosen to support Neelam Sanjiva Reddy but to persevere still (due to the last minute change in judgment by Indira Gandhi), till 1974 Was able to serve.

He obtained Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian jewelry in 1975.

He was a prolific writer and a good speaker. He has written 'Industrial Relations' and 'Labor Problems Books in Indian Industry'.
